Micro Mesotherapy

Aging is inevitable, and so is the days when someone realizes that they are in desperate need of skin rejuvenation. Sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles make people lose their self-confidence, along with the integrity and glow of their skin.

There are a lot of surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures that are performed at aesthetic clinics across the world. Micro mesotherapy is one such popular procedure that is considered completely safe and ideal for non-surgical skin rejuvenation.

Micro mesotherapy involves the use of a micro-needling device to create minute holes in the surface of the skin that requires treatment. Each year, hundreds of patients undergo this treatment at Athena Skin & Laser Clinic in Chandigarh, under the guidance of Doctor Harmandeep Sidhu.

Anyone who suffers from one or a combination of the following skin condition can opt for this treatment:

  • Skin pigmentation
  • Cellulite
  • Sagging and loose skin
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Dullness
  • Skin discoloration
  • Age spots or liver spots

Based on the assessment of the skin condition, the cosmetologist may or may not decide to conduct micro mesotherapy. This treatment is not suitable for people with open cuts and wounds, skin infection and women who are either pregnant or breastfeeding.

During the procedure, the cosmetologist inserts a combination of nutrients required for skin rejuvenation to the middle (meso) layer of the skin. The nutrients are passed into the skin with the help of microneedles, which are used to create holes in the skin.

It is a non-invasive procedure that does not result in any kind of pain. However, the patient may experience some bit of discomfort during the procedure in the form of a burning sensation that results when needles are at work. The treatment lasts anywhere from 40 to 60 minutes.

Typically, a mix of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids is added to the middle layer of the skin, depending upon the condition of the patient. These nutrients work by improving blood circulation in the skin,  stimulating collagen production, reducing cellulite and eliminating the damaged cells of the skin.

The increased collagen production helps restore softness, smoothness, and elasticity of the skin. The sagging skin and the dullness of the skin area treated with the help of micro mesotherapy are, thus gone. The patient is able to experience a flawless, tightened skin again.

A majority of patients opting for micro mesotherapy are able to experience and see results after at least two to three sessions. The results do not appear immediately because the formulation inserted into the skin takes time to perform its action in the body.

The skin may appear brighter and smoother within a day or two of the treatment, but patients are able to see the full effects of micro mesotherapy only in a few months. Typically, patients are advised to undergo at least two micro mesotherapy sessions in a year to maintain the texture and glow of the skin.

Micro mesotherapy is a wonderful non-surgical procedure that helps reduce cellulite-prone, sagging and dull skin. To book an appointment or for any further queries about the procedure, contact Doctor Harmandeep Sidhu at Athena Skin & Laser Clinic in Chandigarh today!
